Abstract
Task-based teaching is an approach through which the basic notion of language application is applied to meaningful practice in classroom settings. Its application has great influence on college teaching methodology, which is teacher-centered instead of student-centered for many years. Moreover,by being taught how to learn rather than what to learn the students′ independence and creativity on learning will be developed. Therefore, they can put what they have already learned into practice. It is the realization of the teaching concept——Teaching is for the purpose of NOT to teach.
