A Research on College English Classroom Teaching Reform

Along with the development of college English reform,there emerge some problems which can't be ignored. For instance,teachers are often puzzled at how to teach and what to teach so as to arouse students' interest in English and help improve their capability in the use of English. Therefore,it is necessary to take into consideration the purpose of college English teaching so that some effective measures should be taken accordingly to improve English teaching mode which focuses on the quality of classroom teaching,the design of some class activities and the combination of traditional teaching methods and students' self-access learning. Apart from that,teachers' capability plays an important role in the improvement of college English teaching,so teachers themselves are supposed to enhance both their language skills as well as their humanistic quality. By doing so,students' needs can be met effectively,and the effect of college English teaching can be guaranteed.
