Research on Rural Education and Rural Culture:Review and Reflections

With the social change,the issue of rural culture and rural education has once again become researchers' focal point of concern.Based on the previous research results,it is found that the research on rural education and rural culture can be divided into two stages with research content mainly focused on four aspects: origin and causes of establishing new school education in the rural society;the contradictory relationship and causes of rural education with rural culture and rural society;the influence of urbanization orientation of rural education on rural culture and rural society;the reform of rural education.In the future,when we do the research on rural education and rural culture,more attention should be paid to the following aspects: cultural choice for rural education according to local conditions;reassessing the educational value of rural culture by transcending the value presetting;bringing out the essence of rural education and rural culture via multiple means;enriching and developing the rural culture,and strengthening the research on the cultural inheritance mechanism.
