Abstract
[Objective]To analyze the characteristics of the incidence and epidemic trends of Epidemic Cerebrospinal Meningitis in Nanchang during 1993-2005 and to provide information for making strategies and control programs of Epidemic Cerebrospinal Meningitis.[Methods]The epidemic trends of Epidemic Cerebrospinal Meningitis in Nanchang during 1993-2005 were analyzed.[Results]The incidence rate of Epidemic Cerebrospinal Meningitis decreased annually since 1993,and the seasonal incidence peaks were found in spring and winter. The incidence in rural areas was higher than urban areas and among children under 15,but with a trend to adults.[Conclusion]We should emphasize on the prevention and control of Epidemic Cerebrospinal Meningitis in rural areas and floating population and take synthetical prevention measures by paying attention to the vaccination of the Epidemic Cerebrospinal Meningitis and health education.
