Abstract
Objective To explore the changes of serum interleukin 6 (IL-6) and C-reactive protein (CRP) in acute coronary artery syndrome (ACS).Methods IL-6 and CRP levels in sera of 31 cases of ACS,19 cases of stable angina pectoris (SAP),and of 20 normal controls were measured.Results The IL-6 and CRP levels of ACS group were significantly higher than those of controls (P0.01).But there was no significant difference in IL-6 and CRP levels between SAP group and controls (P0.05).Conclusion The occurrence of ACS concerns with the inflammatory reaction of immune system,and increased levels of IL-6 and CRP are closely related to the ACS occurrence.
