Abstract

Objective To study the occurrence mechanism of the changes of serum leptin and IL-6 levels in acute cerebral infarction patients and it's relation with prognosis. Methods 40 patients(24 males,16 females)confirmed by CT were studied with their ages ranging from 41 to 79. Fasting venous blood was withdrawn within first 48hs(acute stage),and on the 7th day(subacute stage), and on the 21st day(recovery stage)after admission. Both blood serum leptin and IL-6 were detected with ELISA.30 healthy adults were detected Simultaneously as control group.Resutls The level of serum leptin and IL-6 of acute cerebral infarction group in acute stage and subacute stage have significance difference with the control group(P0.01),but it has no significance difference between the patients in recovery stage and the control group(P0.05). Conclution There are hyperleptinemis in acute cerebral infarction patients, and the level of them restoreto the normal along with the recovery of patients.
