Influencing Factors on Visual Acuity of Post Cataract

Objective To analyse the recovery of visual acuity and the factor that influence it retrospectively after phacoemulsification cataract combined with intraocular lens implantation.Methods Analyze the visual acurity and the influencing factors of 1000 cases(1278 eyes) which adopted phacoemulsification cataract combined with intraocular lens implantation after 3 days and 1 year from January 2004 to January 2005.Results 3 days after operation,368 cases(446 eyes)with naked eyesight or corrected vision ≥0.3 and 632 cases(832 eyes)with naked eyesight or corrected vision 0.3,corneal edema may have influenced the visual acuity as the main factor.635 cases(820 eyes)with naked eyesight or corrected vision ≥0.3 and 365 cases(458 eyes)with naked eyesight or corrected vision 0.3,posterior capsular opacification may have influenced the visual acuity as the main factor.Conclusion The recovery of visual acuity is better after cataract phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens implantation.
