Analysis on the chromosome karyotypes of 492 patients with the recurrent spontaneous abortion

Objective: To explore the relationships between the stillbirth tetus,teratism,recurrent spontaneous abortion and the abnormal number and constitution of chromosome in the patients' peripheral blood in order to provide scientific supports for antenatal care and prevent abortion.Methods: By investigating 492 outpatients with recurrent spontaneous abortion in Changzhou Maternal and Child Healthy Care Hospital from July.1,2010 to Oct.30,2012,their peripheral Lymphocytes were cultured and the chromosome karyotypes were analyzed.Results: There were 78 cases of abnormal karyotype in 492 patients with habitual abortion.In these,14 cases were balanced translocation with the ratio of 2.85%.5 cases were robersonian translocation with the ratio of 1.02%;7 cases were pericentric with the ratio of 1.42%;48 cases were chromosome polymorphism with the ratio of 9.76%.In addition,1 case were delete;1 case,derive;1 case,duplication;1 case,mark.Conclusion: The abnormal karyotype is one of important reasons which causes the stillbirth tetus,teratism and recurrent spontaneous abortion.It is benefit to guide those couples' procreation to investigate chromosome by cytogenetics' mehtods.
