Abstract

Objective To investigate the integraed method of the transurethral resction of prostate (TURP) for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Methods 382 patients of BPH were treated with TURP. Results Followed up for 6 months, the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS), quality of life (QOL) and Qmax increased significantly after TURP. No patient died and no serious complications, the general results were satisfactory. Conclusion TURP is a better treatment option for BPH.
