Abstract
Objective To evaluate the method and clinical experience of transurethral resection of prostate(TURP)for benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).Methods Data was retrospectively analyzed for 368 patients(mean age 73 years),mean International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS) of the patients was 25.Results The outcome of the all patients was satisfactiory,average operation time was 65 minutes,276 patients were followed- up for 2 months to 2 years,mean IPSS of the patients was 7.Conclusion TURP is safe,efficient treatment for BPH,and suitable for general primary hospital.
