Abstract
Specialization of college counselors' work is indispensable to improve the ideological and political education effectiveness,to promote the healthy growth of the students,and to provide efficient services to them.It is also conducive to a counselor's own development.The paper analyzes the meaning and the characteristics of specialization of counselors' work,explores the difficulties faced by the specialization development and the deep-rooted reasons,and then points out that specialization is the path dependence for college counselors' work from the aspects of system construction,management system and operation mechanism.
