Abstract
Objective Detection of HO-1 expression in gastric adenocarcinoma, analysis of HO-1 in gastric adenocarcinoma development role. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the pathology archive of 68 cases of gastric cancer(at high, medium, poorly differentiated group) paraffin, and 20 cases of chronic atrophic gastritis,20 cases of chronic non-atrophic gastritis specimens,HO-1/CO expression of distribution, using statistical software SPSS13.0 withχ2 test and Fisher exact test to analyze the results statistically. Results The positive rate of HO-1 in gastric adenocarcinoma, chronic atrophic gastritis and chronic non-atrophic gastritis were 88.0%(60/68),60%(12/20),10%(2/20) respectively.HO-1 in gastric adenocarcinoma were significantly higher than that of chronic atrophic gastritis(P0.05),chronic atrophic gastritis in the HO-1 expression were significantly higher than that of chronic non-atrophic gastritis group(P0.05).Severe chronic atrophic gastritis in the HO-1 expression were significantly higher than those with mild chronic atrophic gastritis groups(P0.05).The positive rate of poor differentiated gastric adenocarcinoma were significantly higher than that of medium differentiated group, and the positive rate of medium differentiated group were significantly higher than that of well differentiated group, pairwise comparisons were significantly different(P0.05).Conclusion The high expression of HO-1 in gastric adenocarcinoma of pathology, suggests that HO-1 plays an important role in the genesis and development of gastric adenocarcinoma, which provides an important basis for early prevention of gastric adenocarcinoma, early diagnosis, prognosis and selection of treatment.
