Abstract
Objective: To establish the content determination method for the total saponinsandoleanolic acid of Rubus sachalinensis and the best collection stage. Method: Using the UV-visible spectrophotometry determination the content of total saponins at wavelength of 547 nm and using 5% vanillin-acetic acid and perchloric acid coloration. An HPLC method for oleanolic acid of R. sachalinensis was established to determineoleanolic acid. Result: There were differences in the content of the total saponinsand oleanolic acid of R.sachalinensis at different collecting time; the content of total saponins increased from June to September and reached the highest level in September. However,it gradually decreased in October. Conclusion: The method was simple, rapid, repeatableand could be used for the total saponins and oleanolic acid determination of R.sachalinensis, the best collection stage was September.
