Abstract
Objective To compare the effect and safety of venlafaxine hydrochloride sustained-release tablets and clomipramine in treatment of episode depression. Methods 92 cases episode depression patients were divided into two groups from January 2010 to January 2011,which venlafaxine hydrochloride group with 46 cases and clomipramine group with 46 cases. The clinical efficacy,HAMD scores and adverse effect of the two groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference in clinical efficacy between the two groups(P0.05).Compared with pre-treatment,the scores of HAMD scores were significantly decreased in venlafaxine hydrochloride group after treatment 1 week,2 weeks and 4 weeks(P0.05)and in clomipramine group after treatment 2 weeks and 4 weeks(P0.05).After treatment for 1 week, the HAMD score of venlafaxine hydrochloride group was significantly lower than that of clomipramine group(P0.05).The adverse reaction rate of venlafaxine hydrochloride group was significantly lower than that of clomipramine group(P0.05).Conclusion The venlafaxine hydrochloride sustained-release tablet is equal to clomipramine in clinical effect but can be effective quickly, which can be applied in clinic.
