EFFECTS OF TONGXINLUO CAPSULE ON SERUM C-REACTIVE PROTEIN AND CAROTID PLAQUE OF PATIENTS WITH ISCHEMIC VASCULAR DISEASE

Objective: To observe the effects of tongxinluo capsule on C-reactive protein and carotid plaque in patients with ischemic vascular disease.Methods: 87 cases with ischemic vascular disease were divided into tongxinluo and western medicine groups, observing the changes of serum TC,TG,LDL,CRP and determining the intima-media thickness of carotid and plaques area after treated 3 monthes.Results: CRP level of two groups was lowered significantly, intima-media thickness of carotid was thinner than that before treated, and plaques area got smaller , there was no difference between the tongxinluo capsule and western medicine groups.The blood lipid level was lowered in tongxinluo group, but the changes were no singnificant; western medicine(lipitor) could obviously lowered the blood lipid level, there was difference between the tonxinluo capsule and western medicine groups.Conclusion: The effects of tongxinluo capsule on carotid plaque in patients with ischemic vascular disease was related to lowering the serum CRP level.
