Abstract

Objective:To investigate the MCM5 and Ki-67 in breast cancer tissues and its significance. Methods:The immunohistochemical SP method was used to detect MCM5 and Ki-67 protein ion in 142 cases of breast cancer tissue, diagnosed by surgery, and 40 cases of normal breast tissue from August 2008 to January 2010 in our hospital.Their expression status was analyzed. Results:Both breast cancer and normal tissues had the expression of MCM5 and Ki-67,the expression of breast cancer tissue was significantly higher than that of the normal tissue (P0.05).MCM5 expression and Ki-67 expression showed positive correlation(r= 0.486 P=0.031).MCM5 expression was related with breast cancer grade, clinical stage, lymph node metastasis (P0.05).Ki-67 was related with clinical stage, lymph node metastasis (P0.05).Conclusion:MCM5 and Ki-67 expression is related with the occurrence and development of breast cancer, which may become the new markers of breast cancer tumor proliferation.
