Abstract

Objective:To investigate the clinicopathologic characteristics, immunohistochemical features, and histogenesis of the small cell lung carcinoma. Methods:The clinical data, pathological findings, and results of immunohistochemical staining were retrospectively studied in 41 cases of small cell lung carcinoma. Results:The ratio of man to woman was 2.7 to 1;The average age was 58.6 years old;63.4% of cases had lymph node metastasis. The positive rate of immunohistochemical staining of CD56,NSE,CgA,Syn,CKpan and LCA respectively was 90.2%,85.4%,68.3%,73.2%,92.7%,0.Conclusion:Small cell lung carcinoma is a high malignant tumor with rapid progression and early metastasis characteristics. The results suggest this tumor may origin from the bronchi mucosa stem cells.
