The application of ISO9001 Quality Management System in geriatric hospital

Objective To standardize the management of nursing units,put into effect of management system and improve the quality of nursing. Methods According to ISO9001:2000 Quality Management System,we standardized the quality control system based on process control,patient-cen- tered principle,fact-based decision-making,and continuing improvement.Moreover,we established the documentation system of quality control,draw up some quality control documents and provide training for all the nursing staff,such asquality handbook,process documentation,operation guiding book.Results This practice made the quality control objective-targeted,standardized and scientific.Conclusion The establishment of standardized quality control system can satisfy the demands of hospital development as well as patients' needs.
