Abstract
Objective To evaluate cost-effectiveness of gatifloxacin and levofloxacin hydrochloride injections in the treatment of urinary system infections ,in order to provide rational use of the drugs, and lower treatment cost. Methods Principle of pharmacoeconomics was adopted to analyze cost-effectiveness of the two treatment schemes. Results The effective rates of gatifloxacin group and levofloxacin hydrochloride group in the treatment urinary system infection were 93.9% and 90.3%(P0.05)respectively; the incidence rate of adverse reactions were 9.09%and 9.68%(P0.05);the cost-effectiveness ratio(C/E)were 7.1 and 3.8 respectively. The cost for every one unit increment of effectiveness for gatifloxacin group was 91.0 yuan more than that of the levofloxacin hydrochloride group. Conclusion Cost-effectiveness ratio of levofloxacin is superior to that of gatifloxacin.
