Abstract

OBJECTIVE To investigate the drug resistance of Ureaplasma Urealyticum(Uu) and Mycoplasm hominis(Mh) causing urogenital tract infections,so as to provide experimental data for clinical diagnosis and treatment.METHODS Mycoplasma from 557 patients with urogenital tract infections were cultured, the drug susceptibility testing for 14 antibiotics was performed.RESULTS Of 557 patients investigated,Mycoplasma were detected in 350 cases with the positive rate of 62.84%;the positive rates of Uu infection,Mh infection, and Uu+Mh mixed infections were 58.53%,2.87%,and 1.44%.The infection rate of the male was 43.17%,the female 76.36%;of the 14 antibiotics tested,Mycoplasma were highly susceptible to doxycycline, minocycline, gatifloxacin, thiamphenicol, josamycin, roxithromycin, azithromycin, and pefloxacin;the drug susceptibilities to cefoperazone/sulbactam,clindamycin,levofloxacin,ceftriaxone,erythromycin,and ciprofloxacin were relatively low.CONCLUSION The results of the drug susceptibility testings vary in regions;for Mycoplasma infections,it is necessary to perform the culture and drug susceptibility testing so as to support the clinical practice.
