Breeding and Utilization of Restorer Line Gui 1025 with Small and High Quality Grains

The rice restorer line Gui 1025 was derived from the multiple crosses among japonica,javanica rice varieties and indica restorer lines.It is characterized by strong restoring ability,good combining ability,small and fine quality grains.Crossed with different CMS lines,many hybrid rice combinations with high yield and good quality have been developed.Among them,Qiuyou 1025,Boyou 1025,Teyou 1025,Meiyou 1025,Peiliangyou 1025,Liuyou 1025,Qiyou 1025 and Tianyou 1025 were approved by the Guangxi Crop Variety Release Committee.Furthermore,Qiuyou 1025 and Boyou 1025 were certified by the National Crop Variety Release Committee.
