Abstract

Objective: To observe the curative effect of Tiaozhi Shumai Fang (TSF) for type II diabetic hyperlipemia (DH) with qi and yin deficiency syndrome (QYDS). Methods: 60 cases were allocated to treatment group(30 cases) and control group(30 cases) randomly. Both groups were treated by routine antidiabetic treatment, but TSF was added in treatment group and fish oil pill in control group. One month constituted a course of treatment and blood sugar and blood fat were observed before and after treatment. Results: The total effective rate was 93. 3% in treatment group and 73. 3% in control group respectively ( P 0. 01) . After treatment, triglyceride (TG) and total cholesterol(TC) were markedly improved in both groups, but the treatment group was superior than control group ( P 0.01); the improvement of high - density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and low - density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL - C) in treatment group was superior than control group ( P 0. 01). In addition, the improvement of blood sugar in treatment group was superior than control group( P 0. 01). Conclusion: TSF possesses a good effect for DH with QYDS and a supplemental effect for lowering blood sugar.
