Investigation of Tangzhi Shuangping decoction on type IIdiabetic hyperlipemia

Objective To observe the curative effect of Tangzhi Shuangping decoction on type Ⅱdiabetic hyperlipemia.Methods 172 patients with type Ⅱdiabetic hyperlipemia were randomly divided into two groups.Patients in control group(n=82) were treated by Simvastatin.Cases in treatment group(n=90) were treated by Tangzhi Shuangping decoction.Three months after treatment the changes of TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C,FPG,FINS and SI were observed in two groups.Results There was significant difference between before and after treatment on TC,TG and LDL-C in two groups(P0.05,P0.01).The levels of TC,TG and LDL-C after treatment were lower than those before treatment in two groups.The level of HDL-C after treatment was increased in comparison with that before treatment in treatment group(P0.01).The level of TG in treatment group was lower than that in control group after treatment(P0.05).The level of HDL-C in treatment group was higher than that in control group after treatment(P0.05).The levels of FPG and FINS after treatment were decreased in comparison with those before treatment in treatment group(P0.05).And SI was obviously increased(P0.05).Improvement of FPG and SI in treatment group was superior to that in control group(P0.05).Conclusion Tangzhi Shuangping decoction can reduce the levels of TC,TG and LDL-C in patients with type Ⅱdiabetic hyperlipemia,increase the level of HDL-C and SI,improve FINS,hyperinsulinemia and glycometabolism.
