Alkaline dyeing of polyester-cotton fabric with direct and disperse dyes in one bath

Abstract

Different dyeing processes were carried out on polyester-cotton blended fabrics with separated disperse and direct dyeing,and same bath alkaline dyeing with disperse/direct dyes respectively.The dyeing properties such as λ_(max),K/S value and color fastness were tested,and same bath alkaline dyeing process was settled.The result shows that high temperature and pressure alkaline bath dyeing with alkalinestable disperse and direct dyes exerted little influence on λ_(max),K/S value of dyed polyester-cotton fabric,and color fastness can reach more than 3 grade.
