One-bath dyeing of polyester/cotton fabric with disperse and reactive dyes

Pretreatment of polyester/cotton fabric was introduced,including singeing,desizing,scouring,bleaching,mercerizing and presetting.One-bath dyeing of polyester/cotton fabric was carried out with selected disperse and reactive dyes.It was found that one-bath dyeing process featured simple operation,time and energy-saving and cost reduction compared with two-bath dyeing process.T/C fabric dyed with one-bath process had similar color fastness,better evenness and a little lower K/S value compared with those with two-bath process.As utilization ratio of reactive dyes was lower,one-bath dyeing process was suitable for T/C dyeing in light shade or low cotton content.
