Study on the Relation between Acute Cerebrovascular Diseases and Change of Blood Glucose Concentration

Objective To study the significance of change of blood glucose concentration on the different character and various degrees of acute cerebrovascular diseases,and the influence on prognosis.Method The blood glucose data of 186 cases of acute cerebrovascular disease without DM were retrospectively analysed and compared with the clinical status.Results There were 100 cases of cerebral infarction and 86 cases of cerebral hematoma in 186 cases of acute cerebrovascular disease.The blood glucose rose 42% in the cerebral infarction group and 44% in the cerebral hemorrhage group;Based on the location and the range of the lesion,the concentration rising of blood glucose existed significant difference between the group of thalamus and internal capsule and the group of ganglion basal and external capsule( P 0.01).According to the dilectical classification in TCM,the blood glucose concentration rose 35.18% in zhong channels collaterals group and 53.84% in zhong viscera group( P 0.01).The patients conscious state and the death rate within 24 hour existed significant difference between the group of normal range and the group of various blood glucose concentration( P 0.01).Conclusions Acute cerebrovascular diseases can cause a temporary rising of blood glucose concentration,and the rising level isnt related to the chacter of disease,but is related to the lesions location,range and the degree of the disease,and further,it can affect the prognosis.
