Abstract
Objective: To investigate the relationship of nm23-H 1、P 53 and PCNA expression with lymph node metastasis of tongue squamous cell carcinoma(TSCC). Methods: The expression of nm23-H 1、P 53 and PCNA in primary tumors of 18 cases of lymph node metastasis group and 57 cases of non-lymph node metastasis group was detected by immunohistochemical technique(SP method). Results: The positive rate of nm23-H 1 in non-lymph node metastasis group(86.0%) was significantly higher than in lymph node metastasis group(27.8%). There was a negative correlation between nm23-H 1 expression level and lymph node metastasis(P0.05). The positive rate of P 53 and positive index of PCNA in lymph node metastasis group(77.8% and 91.2±3.4% respectively) was significantly higher than in non-lymph node metastasis group(38.6% and 70.7±2.2% respectively), and positive expression of P 53、PCNA was positively correlated to lymph node metastasis(P0.05). Conclusions: nm23-H 1、P 53、PCNA expression level may be the reliable markers for predicting lymph node metastasis of TSCC.
