Analysis of Ureaplasma urealyticum infection in urogenital tract and drug susceptibility

Abstract

OBJECTIVE To study the drug resistance status of urogenital Ureaplasma urealyticum(Uu) collected from the outpatients in the STD,gynecology and obstetrics,and urological department,and provide the reference for the clinical remedy. METHODS Uu was detected by mycoplasma biological test kit and the antibiotical resistance test were carried out.The data from Jan 2008 to Dec 2010 were statistically analyzed. RESULTS Uu positive rate of the 8042 samples was 16.99%.Pristinamycin,doxycycline,tetracycline and josamycin were the most effective antibiotics in the infection. CONCLUSION Doxycycline and josamycin can be used as the preferred antibiotics to cure Uu infection currently in Wuxi.
