Abstract
To search the change of the neuro specific enolase (NSE) level and the clinical significance in neonate with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE). 18,23,10 cases were defined as mild, moderation and severe from 51 cases of neonate with HIE, respectively. To observe serun level of NSE in peripheral blood at 24~48 hours after birth in HIE infants and control group from 10 health newborns by the ELISA method. The serum level of NSE in neonates with middle and serious HIE were higher than those in the control and minor groups. [Conclusion] Serum NSE level could be a biochemical marker of the early brain damage in HIE.
