Abstract

Objective:To observe the efficacy of levamlopine in decreasing 24-hour blood Pulse Pressure.Methods:80 patients with mild or moderate essential hypertension were given oral levamlodipine 2.5 mg or 5 mg once daily for 4 weeks.24 h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring(ABPM) was performed before therapy and 4 weeks after therapy. Results:The clinical blood pressure of all patients was significantly lower after 4 weeks of therapy(P0.05),24 h SBP,24 hDBP(P0.05) and dynamic pulse differential pressure decreased significantly(P0.05).Conclusion:Levamlodipine is an effective agent, with less side effects.Levamlodipine can decrease blood pressure during 24 hours and dynamic pulse differential pressure in senile hypertension.
