Abstract

Objective To observe the efficacy of levamlodipine to decrease postexercise immediatly blood pressure. Methods Forty patients with mild or moderate essential hypertension were selected.Forty patients were given levamlodipine 2.5 mg once daily for 4 weeks. If the target diastolic blood pressure of ≤90 mmHg or a reduction from baseline by ≥10 mmHg was not achieved, levamlodipine 5 mg/d was given.Six-min walking exercise was performed pre-and post-therapy.Clinical blood pressure and postexercise blood pressure was immediately measured. Results The clinical blood pressure of all patients was significantly lower after 4-week therapy(P0.05).Following therapy, postexercise SBP and DBP descend was immediatly [P0.05,(27.18±9.34) mmHg and(18.70±11.58) mmHg].Adverse events incidence rate accounted for 5%. Conclusion Levamlodipine is an effctive angent with less side effects.Levamlodipine can decrease postexercise blood pressure.
