Abstract
The mechanism of transmission in linguistic memes is discussed from the perspective of cognitive pragmatics,and it is tentatively pointed out that the transmission of linguistic memes is a process of the host's cognitive construal,resurvey and mashup by means of simulated relevant language messages,which linguistic memes may be accepted or die out in social cultural competition via subjective adaption.This research aims to fill up the gap of memes theory studies via cognitive pragmatics in order to improve and expand its theoretical system with great practical value.
