Abstract

Objective To investigate the diagnosis value of frequency ultrasound for the congenital hypertrophic pyloric stenosis(CHPS).Method 13 children with CHPS were examined by frequency ultrasound including the measurement of the diameter and the length of pyloric tube and thickness of pyloric muscle, and dynamic observation of stomach, gastric motility and pyloric opening. Results The short-axis cross-section diameter of pyloric tube are about 14.5 ~ 18.2mm of 13 children with CHPS,the length are about 17.2~22.3mm,and the thickness of pyloric muscle are about 3.9~5.1mm.Conclusion The frequency ultrasound can be used as the preferred imaging method for the diagnosis of CHPS,which is specific, safe, and simple.
