Abstract

A comparation has been made between semen parameters and serum antisperm an- tibody test in 90 infertile and 40 fertile men. The effect of antisperm antibody titer on the semen parameters was analysed by F test and Chi-square test, Possible causes of the occurrence of sperm antibody were reviewed. The results show genital inflam- mation, infection, injury and obstruction may be the main causes. There was a signi- ficant difference between the sperm motility of antisperm antibody positive groups and the control group. There was also a significant difference between the percentages of abnormal sperm form of the high (1 : 64) and low (1 : 8) titer sperm antibody gro- ups, A significant effect on the semen parameters was observed, serum sperm antibo- dy titer was over 1 : 64. Suggestions about the diagnosis and treatment of immuno- logical infertility were launched by the authors.
