Abstract
Objective:To develop an RP-HPLC method for the determination of oleanolic acid and ursolic acid in flowers of Eriobotrya japonica (Thunb.) Lindl.from different habits of Sichuan. Methods:The separations were car- ried out on an Allteeh Apollo RP-C_(18) column (4.6 mm×250 mm,5μm)eluted with methanol-0.1% acetic acid aqueous solution(pH 3.4) (94:6),as mobile phase at a flow rate of 0.5 mL·min~(-1),at 20℃ and UV detection at 210 nm.Results:The calibration curves of oleanolic acid and ursolic acid were in good linearity in the range of 25.3-507 mg·L~(-1) (r=0.9996,n=7) and 9.11-182 mg·L~(-1) (r=0.9997,n=7),respectively.The recoveries were 101.0% for oleanolic acid and 101.1% for ursolie acid, with RSD 4.0%.Conclusion:The method is sim- ple, accurate and reproducible for quality control of flowers of Eriobotrya japonica(Thunb.)Lindl.
