Abstract
OBJECTIVE To establish a method for the determination of ursolic acid and oleanolic acid in Eriobotrya japonica by HPLC.METHODSThe determination was carried out on a Lichrospher C18(250 mm× 4.6 mm,5 μm)column with methanol-water-glacial acetic acid-triethylamine(90∶10∶0.03∶0.06)as the mobile phase,and detected at the UV wavelength of 215 nm.RESULTSUA and OA can be well resolved(Rs1.65).The calibration curve was in good linearity over the range of 0.4-4.0 μg.CONCLUSIONThe method is simple,accurate,reproducible and can be used to control the quality of Eriobotrya japonica.
