Abstract

[Objective] To observe the effect of Xuanfu Daizhe decoction on the expression of cyclin D1 in the esophageal mucosa in rat with mixed reflux esophagitis. [Methods] Eighty Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control group, model group, Chinese medicine treatment group and Western medicine control group. The operation of end-to-side anastomosis of the esophagus and duodenum was performed for all groups except the normal control group. Normal saline, Xufu Daizhe decoction and suspension liquid of citrate mosapride dispersible tablets were given continuously for 21 days from the second week after the operation. The expression of Cyclin D1 in esophageal mucosa was observed. [Results] The expression of Cyclin D1 was significantly increased in the model group compared with the normal control group. Compared with the model group, the expression of Cyclin D1 decreased significantly in both Chinese medicine group and Western medicine control group, and the decrease was more in the Chinese medicine group. No significant difference was found on the expression of Cyclin D1 between Chinese medicine group and normal control group. [Conclusion] Xuanfu Daizhe decoction can significantly decrease the expression of Cyclin D1 in esophageal mucosa and so can be effective for treating the mixed reflux esophagitis.
