Abstract
Use sodium hydrogen sulphate composite catalyst as catalyst on the esterification reaction of ethyl hexanoate is studied. The optimal reaction conditions is selected as following:weight of catalyst is 3 g/mol hexanoic acid, the mole ratio of alchol to acid is 1.5∶1,water is removed with cyclohexane and the reaction time is 4 h.The esterification of hexanoic acid is about 97.38%.Experimental results show that sodinm hydrogen sulphate is a good catalyst of this esterification reaction, with the little amount used, the good esterification, little waste discharged.Process is significantly shortened. It is very valuable in practice.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
