Valsartan and metoprolol in treatrnent of chronic heart failure

Abstract

Objective To study the effect of valsartan and metoprolol in treatment of chronic heart failure. Methods 296 cases of chronic heart failure were divided into two groups (study group, control group). Patients of study group's were treated withvalsartan and metoprolol, in addition to conventionat therapy, valsarton 20～80mg, one time a day, metoprolol 6. 75mg～75mg, twice a day. Results The study group's curative effect was 96.18%, the control group's curative effect was 87.68%. The therapeutic effect was significantly different between the two groups (P≤0.05). There was tratistically significant difference between before the treatment and after the treatment of LVEF, HR, LVDd (P≤0.01). Conclusions Valsartan and metoprolol are well tolerated in treatment of chronic heart failure.
