Clinical Observation on Efficacy of Metoprolol Combined with Captopril on Chronic Heart Failure

Objective To observe the effect and security of metoprolol combined with captopril on chronic heart failure. Methods 90 cases with chronic heart failure were randomly divided into two groups. 45 patients control group received conventional treatment (cardiotonic, diuretics and vasodilator). 45 patients of treatment group were given metoprolol(6.25mg bid. po. add 6.25mg every week) and captopril(6.25～12.5mg tid.po) add conventional treatment. The clinical characteristics were observed before and after 8 weeks treatment. Results After 8 weeks,the rate of efficacy in the treatment group and control group were 91.1% and 64.4%. The averse effects of Metoprolol and Capopril were less. There were significant difference between two groups(P0.05). Conclusion Metoprolol and capopril has good result and on chronic heart failure.
