Survey on Influencing Factors of Hypertension in Old Population in Xuzhou City

Objective To explore the influencing factors of hypertension in old population in Xuzhou and provide the scientific bases for the prevention and cure of hypertension.Methods By using stratified multistage sampling,questionnaire survey were carried out in residents aged over 60 years old from six residential areas in three districts.The collected data was analyzed by logistic regression analysis.Results There were 1658 effective responses.867 cases were with hypertension,the prevalence rate was 52.29%.The single-factor logistic regression showed that age,educational level,BMI,smoking,drinking,family history of hypertension and sleep quality were the influencing factors of hypertension(P0.001);The age,BMI,smoking,drinking,and family history of hypertension were the risk factors,and educational level and sleep quality were the protective factors.Multivariate logistic regression showed that the age,BMI level,drinking and family history of hypertension were the major factors impacting hypertension,and they were all the risk factors(P0.001).Conclusion The age,BMI,drinking and hypertension in sibling are the main influencing factors of hypertension.These four factors should be faced to prevent hypertension.
