Abstract
Objective To investigate the prevalence of hypertension among rural population of Anhui Province and to estimate hypertension's genetic and enviromental risk factors. Methods 1 798 residents were questioned and measured by trained investigators. The analysis by using Epi Info and SAS package includes single factor and logistic regression analysis. Results Prevalence of hypertension is 8.84%. Hypertension is probably related with sex, age, the number of cigarettes smoked, amount of drinking, the family history, education, marriage, fat intaking, BMI. By logistic regression analysis, age, amount of drinking, the family history, marriage, BMI are entered the equation. Conclusions Hypertension is caused by many factors.
