Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of different hyperfractionated radiotherapy for esophageal cancer, and to accumulate experience. Methods 46 cases of esophageal cancer were divided into the study group and the control group using the random number table, each group with 23 cases. The study group received hyperfractionated radiotherapy( HRT),and the control group received late-course hyperfractionated accelerated radiotherapy( LCHART). Clinical efficiency and local control rates of the 2 groups were recorded, and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared. Results 1-year efficiency and local control rates of the 2 groups had no significant difference( P 0. 05),and it was comparable. Incidence rates of radiation pneumonitis and Ⅲ and Ⅳ radiation esophagitis in the study group were lower than those of the control group( P 0. 05),there had no significant difference in bone marrow suppression between the 2 groups( P 0. 05). Conclusion HRT and LCHART have similiar curative effects,LCHART is safer, and it is worthy of further promotion.
