Abstract

The development of style theory of ancient Chinese poetry went through six stages:the Wei Jin and South-northern Dynasty,the breeding stage,the Tang Dynasty,the shaping stage,the Song Dynasty,the developing stage,the Yuan Dynasty,the handing down stage,the Ming Dynasty,the flourishing stage,and the Qing Dynasty,the deepening stage.Its characteristics are mainly embodied in three aspects:the expanding of names,multiplicity of(intension),handing down and dispelling of explanation.
