Protective Effect of Fructus Cnidii Combined with Vitamin C on Exercised-induced Renal Ischemia-reperfusion Injury of Rats

Abstract

In this study,the protective effect and mechanism of Fructus Cnidii combined with vitamin C on renal ischemia-reperfusion injury of rats was investigated. The rats was gavaged with 1. 5 g / kg of Fructus Cnidii and intraperitoneal injected with 100 mg / kg of vitamin C for 56 days. Exhaustive swim training of the rats was carried out and the blood urea nitrogen and other biochemical indexes were measured. The results showed that 8 weeks of overtraining led to exercisedinduced renal ischemia-reperfusion in rats. In addition,the kidney histopathology of rats was significantly changed and renal function was severely damaged. Compared with the control group,the blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine of each group increased significantly. Compared with OM group,FOM,VCOM and FVCOM groups decreased significantly( P 0. 05,P 0. 05,P 0. 01); compared with VCOM group,FOM and FVCOM groups decreased significantly( P 0. 05,P 0. 01). Compared with the control group,the activity of SOD in each group was significantly decreased. Compared with OM group,FOM,VCOM and FVCOM groups increased significantly( P 0. 05,P 0. 05,P 0. 01); compared with VCOM group,FOM and FVCOM groups increased significantly( P 0. 05,P 0. 01). The content of MDA in each group was significantly higher than the control group. Compared with OM group,FOM,VCOM and FVCOM groups decreased significantly( P 0. 05,P 0. 05,P 0. 01); compared with VCOM group,FOM and FVCOM groups decreased significantly( P 0. 05,P 0. 01). These experimental results showed that the combination of Fructus Cnidii and vitamin C had a protective effect on exercise-induced renal ischemia-reperfusion injury of rats.
