Abstract
This paper studied the protective effect and mechanism of Cynomorium songarium Rupr( CSR) combined with vitamin C on exercised-induced renal ischemia-reperfusion injury of rats. The experimental rats were gavaged with 4. 5g /kg of CSR and intraperitoneal injected with 100 mg / kg of vitamin C for 56 days( 8 weeks),which was followed by exhaustive swimming training. After that, the blood urea nitrogen and other biochemical indexes of the rats were determined. The results showed that 8 weeks of overtraining led to exercised-induced renal ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats. Moreover, the rats' kidney histopathology was changed significantly, and renal function was severely damaged. Compared with the control group, each group of blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine increased significantly. Compared with OM group,COM group,VCOM group and CVCOM group decreased significantly( P 0. 05,P 0. 05,P 0. 01);compared with VCOM group,COM group and CVCOM group decreased significantly( P 0. 05,P 0. 01). Compared with the control group, the activity of SOD in each group was significantly decreased. Compared with OM group,COM group,VCOM group and CVCOM group increased significantly( P 0. 05,P 0. 05,P 0. 01); compared with VCOM group,COM group and CVCOM group increased significantly( P 0. 05,P 0. 01). The content of MDA in each group was significantly higher than that of the control group, compared with OM group,COM group,VCOM group and CVCOM group decreased significantly( P 0. 05,P 0. 05,P 0. 01); compared with VCOM group,COM group and CVCOM group significantly decreased( P 0. 05,P 0. 01). The experimental results showed that CSR and vitamin C can enhance the activity of SOD,scavenge oxygen free radicals, and reduce lipid peroxidation. It had a protective effect on exercise-induced ischemia-reperfusion kidneys. The effect of CSR was better than that of vitamin C. The combined usage of CSR and vitamin C provided better effect.
