Observation on comprehensive treatment of nerve root type cervical spondylosis in 85 cases

Objective:To explore the efficacy of comprehensive treatment coordinated with the Maitland manipulation in the treatment of nerve root cervical spondylosis.Methods:165 patients were randomly divided into treatment group(85 cases) and control group(80 cases).Two groups were given traction and intermediate frequency pulse treatments.In addition,the treatment group was given traditional massage and Maitland manual therapy.The clinical scores before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.The cure and effective rates were also compared.Results:There was no difference in the clinical scores before treatment(P=0.98).The difference of the clinical scores was significant between the two groups after treatment(P0.0001).After treatment,the clinical scores of treatment group were higher than those in the control group.The total effective rate was 91.25% in treatment group and 52.50% in control group,the former was higher than the latter(P0.0001).Conclusion:The clinical efficacy of comprehensive rehabilitation treatment to nerve root cervical spondylosis is obvious,this kind of treatment is worthy of further promotion and application in clinical practice.
