Abstract
Objective: To study the clinical effect of conformed manipulation and cervical traction combined with hot medicated compress for the treatment of cervical spondylosis.Methods:Sixty-eight cases of cervical spondylosis were randomly divided into the treatment and the control group. The Treatment Group was treated with conformed manipulation and cervical traction combined with hot medicated compress, and the control group was treated with Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs combined with cervical traction. The course of treatment was 30 days. The scores of visual analogue scale(VAS) was recorded before and after treatment and the clinical effect was assessed according to Odom therapeutic criterion. Results:The scores of VAS of bothgroups were decreased after treatment(P 0.01compared with those before treatment). The difference of the scores of VAS between the two groups after treatment was significant(P 0.01),the improvement in the treatment group being superior to that in the control group. The difference of clinical effect between the two groups was significant(P 0.01),the effect in the treatment group being superior to that in the control group. The therapy of Treatment group is better than the therapy of control group(P 0.01).Conclusion:Conformed manipulation and cervical traction combined with hot medicated compress has certain effect for cervical osteoarthritis with decreasing the syndromes, such as pain, and has the advantages of convenience, functionary and inexperienced.
