Abstract
Grape seeds contain antioxidant plant chemical material-proanthocyanidin,which can act as an antioxidant,removes free radicals,and reduces risk of chronic diseases such an cardiovascular disease and cancer.The subject stud-ied preliminarily on the extraction process of proanthocyanidins from grape seeds.Effects of solvent type,the concen-tration of elthanol,extraction time,extraction temperature,the rate of solution and reduction radio on the extraction of Proanthocyanidins from Grape Seeds were studied.The optimum conditions of extraction were as follows:ethanol is suitable solvent,the concentration of ethanol is 70 %,the extracting time is 60 min,the extracting temperature is 50 ℃;the rate of solution to solid is 7:1,reduction radio is 80 mesh.
