Treatment of Upper Urinary Calculi with Minimally Invasivepercutaneous Nephrolithotomy

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the availability and clinical outcome of minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy(MPCNL) in treating upper urinary calculi.Methods A total of 46 patients suffering from upper urinary calculi who were treated with MPCNL.Results Of 46 cases,one-stage stone free was achieved in 33 cases,second-look was needed in 9 cases.4 cases were cured by ESWL after MPCNL.Conclusion MPCNL is regarded as a minimal invasive and good effective method for treatmenting renal or upper ureteral stones
